PhotoPin is an iPhone application to automatically geo-tag photos taken with any camera and use them in geo-enabled software. It works like this:

You launch the iPhone application and leave it running in your pocket. You pull out the camera and walk around making photos.

The iPhone application records time and position information. It automatically syncs over wifi network to your Mac when you're back home.

You load photos from the external camera into the PhotoPin desktop app. It automatically matches them and applies precise geo-positioning metadata.

Photos geo-tagged with PhotoPin work great with iPhoto '09, Flickr, Facebook and all other applications and services that understand standard EXIF tags. PhotoPin works with any camera that saves standard JPEG photos with date-taken information.
